Deleting Autorun.inf virus manually the most efficient method

If you used pendrive then you came across this virus i.e Autorun.inf. Autorun.inf is the famous virus that can be easily transfer through our  pendrives without any notification. Some of the anti virus can detect and most of them are not.

Some behavior after infected to your PC:

1. No drives will not open or No drives will directly open i.e when you double click on the drives it will not opens i think this is the main symptom or behaviour of the autorun virus.

How can we delete Autorun.inf Virus manually

We can delete autorun.inf virus in many ways but today i am showing the most efficient method for deleting autorun virus from our PC as well as pendrive too.

The below steps helps in deleting autorun.inf virus:

1. Open RUN (win key+R)
2. type CMD (commend)

3. the default address will be
C:\users\arun>_

(may changes “Arun” to your username in your system)
so type as below if we want to delete virus form “D” drive
C:\users\arun\d:
{ it will changes drive “C” to “D” drive }
4. then it will be displayed as
D:\>

5. Then here onwords our real process starts. The above 4 steps are those who don’t know how to work with command prompt.
6. type the below command to check wheather virus is affected are not see now we are checking for “D” drive
D:\>attrib

click enter
7. After clicking enter the result will be displayed on command prompt check for Autorun.inf in that result if present follow below steps

type below commands
D:\> attrib -s -a -r -h autorun.inf
click enter
D:\> del autorun.inf

click enter
8. After doing that check once again wheather it is deleted or not by typing
D:\> attrib
it will not displays “autorun.inf” file because it is deleted by the above steps if it is presents repeat the above steps again.

9. Do for all the drives as shown above

Tips:

+  Please don’t try to open your drives in the middle steps until all the steps completed otherwise the virus will be moved to your cleaned drives form the infected drives
+  Type the command every time when you inserted your pendrive
I:\> attrib
click enter
this command checks the autorun virus if present within a second
+ Turn off your Autorun function
