Windows tricks - Faster boot-up

This is a simple tweak to make windows boot up faster. This is not all of it .... but these little things can do wonders in your computer.

1. Go to Run (windows key +R)

2. Type msconfig

3. A dialogue box will come up. Select the tab Startup. In that a list of softwares will be shown. Uncheck all of them except your antivirus.

This will make your computer go faster when windows loads.

The following is a little tougher...

1. Go to RUN

2. And type "regedit" without qoutes.

3. A dialogue box will appear. On the left hand side navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Dfrg\BootOptimizeFunction

4. Select enable from the list on the right.

5. Right click it and select Modify

6. Change the value to Y

Then reboot ...

See the change yourself .... There are many other methods like closing device ports, Disabling windows start-up sound and other methods. But these two will speed up computer well.
